Dr.-Ing. Dieter Memhard, Jahrgang 1951, studierte Werkstofftechnik an der RWTH Aachen. Nachdem er 1982 sein Diplom erhielt, arbeite er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Eisenhüttenkunde bis 1987. Seit 1987 ist er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Fraunhofer IWM. Er promovierte 1989.
Dr.-Ing. Dieter Memhard, born in 1951, studied materials engineering at RWTH Aachen and obtained his degree in 1982. He was a scientific employee at the Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy until 1987 and obtained his doctorate in 1989. He has been a scientific employee at Fraunhofer IWM since 1987. His research focuses on fracture and damage mechanics as well as on the application of numerical methods for component and crash safety.
